Visitors to Natureland can
expect some close encounters of the animal kind. See the seal rehabilitation
work in progress and come face to face with seals through the underwater
viewing windows. Walk through the Floral Palace with tropical birds
and butterflies flying freely around you. Cross the bridge over the
crocodile pool and feed the Koi carp and animals in the Pets Corner.
These are just a few of the close encounters that you will enjoy at
Skegness Natureland Seal Sanctuary. Awarded "The Good Britain
Guide, Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year 2000". |

This is the only windmill
left in Alford; in 1932 there were three - each with different sets
of sail (four, five and six). It is the five sailed mill that remains.
It was built by Sam Oxley in 1813.
The mill is over 30 metres high and has six floors. In its hey day
it was capable of grinding 4 to 5 tonnes of corn a day. The mill worked
until 1955. After two years standing idle it was restored to full
working order and is only one of three working mills in Lincolnshire. |
